Deerfield Community Concert Band welcomes new music director Timothy Cook
Timothy Cook is a conductor and arts administrator based in the greater Chicago area. He currently serves on the conducting faculty at the Music Institute of Chicago, where he also holds the position of campus director for the Lake Forest campus.
In addition to his roles at the Music Institute, Timothy is the artistic director of Harmonie North, a wind chamber ensemble devoted to the performance and promotion of classical wind chamber repertoire, and more recently, the conductor of the Deerfield Community Concert Band.
Before relocating to Chicago, Timothy was the Director of Bands and Chair of the Visual and Performing Arts Department at Charlotte Catholic High School in Charlotte, North Carolina. He holds degrees from Northwestern University and the University of Tennessee.
Outside of his professional life, Timothy enjoys CrossFit and spending time with his Boykin Spaniel, Molly
